Todays update comes courtesy of Ricci and his camera - thanks Ricci!

Looks like we are just about ready to have our slab poured - woo! We will finally be able to see exactly were the house is going and how much spacewe will have. Good times indeed. I don't think ive ever been so keen to get a bill

The Slush

We are supposed to be in a drought. Anyone wanting to know where the water is, see our block. The slab is booked for Tuesday but maybe that is wishful thinking on the builder's behalf????

We Landscaped!!!...and the piers are down.

This morning with some help from our parents/in-laws and a good friend, Gen, we did some landscaping along the back fence! We bought some railway sleepers and laid them along the back fence to hold in the dirt when Adenbrook pushes the dirt down. We have a number of them left over if anyone needs some...... They have also done the piering and the surveying AND we have a portaloo that works (thanks for checking Dave). It's all moving along despite all the rock. You can see us working hard here - Bryan is covered in dirt and Michelle is overseeing the project from her coveted "i have an injured disc" management position.

YAY for Adenbrook

We called Adenbrook yesterday and said we had a few concerns and our site supervisor called us back with an offer to meet us there today. We arrived at 10am to find that both supervisors had made the trip out to see us. We talked about our concerns and Adenbrook explained what was happening and agreed they could change the slope of the back yard for us. They offered some suggestions that could make the slope even less which we were really happy for. At the end of the meeting we both felt really positive and were very grateful for the effort that Adenbrook had gone to, just to make us feel better.
There were 3 guys out there trying to get thru the rock to build a retaining wall and it looked like hard work. Glad it wasn't us :) We did go and get them some drinks as a thank you tho.

Michelle's Christmas Present

Please join my campaign to convince Bryan that "Avalon Reign Merlot" (pictured here) is the perfect gift for Christmas this year.

Future Residents

A quick introduction to the other residents of our new home - Wombat and Donut.
They are having a bath and keeping clean in anticipation of the big move to come.
And here they are having breakfast in bed on Saturday Morning:

More Dirt

Seriously didn't think that there was room for more dirt - but they found some.

One of us has serious concerns about the work done so far - the less emotional one is being patient and waiting to see what happens next. Not to mention the fact that we were told the electricals and plumbing had been done - apparently with magical invisible pipes and wires.....

Check out some of the following pictures and tell us what you think....

Lights, Camera, Action!

I had the chance to swing by the block today - we finally have activity!

The site has been cut and filled, and one of the retaining walls is in progress. The slab is scheduled to be laid on the 13th of the month. Anyhoo as the title says it was still light, I had the camera, now here's the action!
